We begin by giving our impressions of Final Fantasy XIII on the PS3. Sony announced their Wii Remote killer - the PlayStation Move. Then we take calls about Final Fantasy XIII.
We give our thoughts on the initial weekend of the Blur Multiplayer Beta. We then talk about Final Fantasy for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Due to a leap year glitch in the hardware, all older PS3's around the world were unusable for 24 hours on March 1st. The drama between Activision and Infinity Ward began with lawsuits flying. Sony filed a patent about "Game Demo Erosion" - good or bad idea? Then we take calls about the Sonypocalypse, Final Fantasy XIII, and demo erosion,
We begin by give our impressions of the FULL version of Heavy Rain for the PS3. Then, we discuss a company very easy to hate - Activision. First, the King's Quest remake, The Silver Lining, which was given the seal of approval by Vivendi, had that seal of approval removed by Activision. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick apologized for some of the things he did, such as spurn Harmonix by thinking they were just a crappy developer with one good idea (Guitar Hero). Then we take calls about Heavy Rain, Activision, and a misguided Sonic the Hedgehog boycott.
Sony is now requiring a registration for users of SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 to play online multiplayer, which may cost you. Sony patented a "Universal Game Controller" but may not actually be working on one. Then we take calls about online fees in multiplayer games.
We give some early impressions of Heavy Rain on the PS3 based on the demo. We give our impressions of an iPhone game - Brain Fu. We had a contest for the codes, but because it's been a while the contest is over. Sorry podcast listeners... Microsoft announced that Xbox Live for the Original Xbox will go offline on April 15th. Then we take calls about Original Xbox Live and online-only games in general.
