posted on July 14, 2008 at 01:40 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

We begin with a big announcement of All Games Radio Presents: PAX'08 LIVE! Eight hours of live streaming radio from the 2008 Penny Arcade Expo. Then we recount a tragic story of why a second PS3 needs to be repaired, and the moral lessons we have learned from it. We give our impressions of two games for the iPhone/iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware, Super Monkey Ball and Tap Tap Revenge. We preview Gametap's new original episodic series American McGee's Grimm. Microsoft announces that the 20GB Xbox 360 will drop in price to $299, but only until supplies last. Konami has sued Viacom, MTV, and Harmonix over Rock Band because Konami missed the boat and didn't bring Guitar Freaks and Drummania to the US 10 years ago when they had the chance. Then we take calls about our E3 schedule and expectations, and about Warhammer: Online's removal of classes and capital cities.

154 - 07/06/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - PS3 2.40 Firmware, Ticket To Ride, Mega Man 9
posted on July 9, 2008 at 02:51 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

We start off by congratulating the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club for hosting the first ever Commodore 64 LAN Party using 8 C64's with Ethernet Cartridges running NetRacer. This then turns into a discussion about BBS Door Games such as Tradewars 2002, Legend of the Red Dragon, and Murder Motel. We give our impressions of Ticket To Ride for the Xbox Live Arcade. Last week, Microsoft released the Content License Restoration Tool which allows you to merge all of your Xbox 360 DRM licenses onto one console. Sony released their big 2.40 Firmware which touted In-Game XMB and Trophies, but then pulled it. Then we take calls about Mega Man 9 and it's new 8-bit style art direction. During the throw to Orange Lounge Radio, we touch more on BBS Door Games, MUD's and find out who tried to sue EverQuest back when it was popular!

153 - 06/29/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Diablo III, Gutar Hero: On Tour, The World Ends With You
posted on July 4, 2008 at 01:27 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

We take a look at two recently released Nintendo DS games - Guitar Hero: On Tour and The World Ends With You. Laywers are surprised to learn how many people decided that they were insulted by the Hot Coffee scandal enough to get money from the makers of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Blizzard announced Diablo III in Paris, and PC gamers squealed with delight - but don't expect it on consoles. Then we take a call about The Bourne Conspiracy which morphs into a discussion about the differences between playable and non-playable demos of games shown to journalists. We recount a story from the first G-Phoria where Fable was broken in it's first public appearance. Oh yeah, we also discuss more games we think Tomonobu Itagaki should make! Be sure to check out the two part interview of Bobby Blackwolf on Mostly ITP on the Georgia Podcast Network.

152 - 06/22/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Spore Creature Creator, Nintendo v. Pirates
posted on June 27, 2008 at 04:13 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

The new Allgames.com is now up, so go check it out! The Spore Creature Creator demo was released (for $10) and the question is asked - can you make a normal looking person or is it just freaky creatures? Some people who were more of the phallic persuasion have gotten notices that their EA account may be pulled - is this the start of a Big Brother scenario? People who bought Mass Effect for the PC should know about the DRM restrictions which will punish you for upgrading your computer. Nintendo released an update to the Wii System Menu which removed the Twilight Princess hack, but hackers found a way around it within hours. Sony admits that piracy and homebrew on the PSP fuel sales, even if they're not happy about it. Then we take calls about where PEN-15 wants Itagaki to go and about E3's press conferences and appointments.

150-151 06/08/08-06/15/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Qore, 360 Leaks, MGS4
posted on June 19, 2008 at 10:58 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

It's another double episode due to more website troubles at allgames.com - be on the lookout for a brand new site! On the first episode: We congratulate Spanny for his stunning victory of the Limited Edition GTA4 Themed Xbox 360 from Gamerscore Blog as the winner over all of the other shows on All Games Radio. We pose a question about HDMI cables for the PS3 - ours is a little wonky. Then we delve right into PlayStation Qore, which is a $2.99 download that shows you propaganda. The Home Beta will be much like Gmail's Beta - oh and by the way, Gmail is STILL IN BETA. The GTA4 Downloadable Content for the Xbox 360 seems to have been delayed, but will it still come out in 2008? Then we take a call from someone who isn't hyped up for Metal Gear Solid 4. In the second episode: We join up with the EverQuest Living Legacy program and promptly get killed multiple times due to being in the wrong place. Then we take a look at some leaks that came out from a survey site about the Xbox 360 - Avatars and Forza 3 size. We also look at the truth behind the Red Rings of Death. Then we take callers about Tomonobu Itagaki leaving Tecmo and Metal Gear Solid 4.
