Live from Computer Arena in Roswell, GA on Saturday, November 8th - MISSION: Pwning for a Cure, put on by Global Agenda developers Hi-Rez Studios and benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We interview a representative of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Producer of Global Agenda, an alpha tester for Global Agenda, Tobias from the ECA and Gamer Fitness Guide, Glenn from CC Gaming, and Brit from Computer ArenA. Also stopping by (several times) is Kotaku's Mike Fahey.
Head on over to Computer Arena in Roswell, GA on Saturday, November 8th for Mission: Pwning for a Cure, put on by Global Agenda developers Hi-Rez Studios and benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - All Games Radio will be broadcasting starting at 3PM ET/Noon PT! We give a followup on our Guitar Hero: World Tour hardware issues and talk about the Drum Tuner software that was released. We finished Fable 2 and raise a question on having to pay for extra DLC to get the base 1000 achievement points. We've just started Fallout 3 and LittleBigPlanet - please go heart our level "The Quest For The LBP Beta Code"! We also give first impressions on a web-based game called Forumwarz, which is the closest thing to a BBS Door game we've found in a long time. The Beatles are getting a video game made by Rock Band developers Harmonix, but we don't know any more than that. The PS2 becomes an open platform in Europe, allowing smaller developers to make titles without having to get the content approved by Sony. Then we take calls on Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Fallout 3, and which system to buy multiplatform games for.
(Warning: There is a portion of the second episode that has lots of bleeps. There are warnings before it occurs so you can get any youngn's out of the room.) Head on over to Computer Arena in Roswell, GA on Saturday, November 8th for Mission: Pwning for a Cure, put on by Global Agenda developers Hi-Rez Studios and benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - All Games Radio will be broadcasting starting at 3PM ET/Noon PT! In the first episode: LittleBigPlanet has been delayed due to lyrics from the Qur'an being sang in one of the levels. The game was only delayed a week, but we wonder why nobody complained about the song before? Sony updated the Terms of Use for the PlayStation Network which may have some serious effects on user generated content. Yoda and Darth Vader can now be purchased for the other console in Soul Calibur IV. Then we read an email and take calls on community content. In the second episode: E3 returns to attempt to recapture it's former glory, but you're most likely not invited. We give our impressions on Fable 2. Also, we give somewhat limited impressions on Guitar Hero: World Tour because the "superior" instruments DON'T WORK SO WE COULDN'T PLAY THE GAME OR COMPLETE THE TUTORIAL OR JSDKLAJFDKLSFJDKSLFJKL... Then we take calls on why some people hate reviewers and on E For All.
First episode: We give a rundown on SIEGE that occurred this past weekend and the little bit of Georgia gaming news that was to be had. Then we talk all about the LittleBigPlanet beta, what you can and can't do with the level interface. We also show off our level: The Quest For The LBP Beta Code, which can be seen on YouTube. We also give away a code to one of the chatters (because the beta was ending before the next episode.) Also, we quickly go over the Nintendo DSi and the top-selling game that it completely renders obsolete. Then we take calls about LittleBigPlanet and paying to unlock levels in games. Second episode: We give an unpaid endorsement to Computer ArenA in Roswell, GA - if you're looking for a LAN and console gaming center with good (and cheap) food and good (and cheap) beer, check them out. We give our review of Beat'n Groovy for the Xbox Live Arcade, which is a port of Konami's Pop'n Music title - but it sucks. At least the note charts are the same. Blizzard is going to rape you by making you buy Starcraft 2 THREE TIMES to experience the entire singleplayer campaign. The New Xbox Experience has been dated for November 19th, and Microsoft is offering storage devices to customers who don't have hard drives. Be careful what you read on blogs - nobody has said that the Netflix watching in a party has been taken away! Then we take calls on what was announced at Tokyo Game Show as well as Linger In Shadows, the interactive art recently released on the PS3. We also really want the Diablo 3 logo with the unicorns and rainbows.
This week's interview is with Andrew Greenberg, director of the Southern Interactive Entertainment & Game Expo in Atlanta from October 3-5th. We discuss the expo, the Georgia game industry, why a game-design specific curriculum is better at getting you a job in the industry in the coming years, and Street Fighter: The Tabletop Roleplaying Game. Then we discuss how hard Mega Man 9's demo is, and lament about the lack of having a LittleBigPlanet beta key. Fable 2's Online Coop mode won't be on the disc, but will be patched in with a title update "within the first week." We take calls about if this is a good trend for console gaming or not. We also give away Rock Band 2 (software only) for the Xbox 360.
