150-151 06/08/08-06/15/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Qore, 360 Leaks, MGS4
posted on June 19, 2008 at 10:58 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

It's another double episode due to more website troubles at allgames.com - be on the lookout for a brand new site! On the first episode: We congratulate Spanny for his stunning victory of the Limited Edition GTA4 Themed Xbox 360 from Gamerscore Blog as the winner over all of the other shows on All Games Radio. We pose a question about HDMI cables for the PS3 - ours is a little wonky. Then we delve right into PlayStation Qore, which is a $2.99 download that shows you propaganda. The Home Beta will be much like Gmail's Beta - oh and by the way, Gmail is STILL IN BETA. The GTA4 Downloadable Content for the Xbox 360 seems to have been delayed, but will it still come out in 2008? Then we take a call from someone who isn't hyped up for Metal Gear Solid 4. In the second episode: We join up with the EverQuest Living Legacy program and promptly get killed multiple times due to being in the wrong place. Then we take a look at some leaks that came out from a survey site about the Xbox 360 - Avatars and Forza 3 size. We also look at the truth behind the Red Rings of Death. Then we take callers about Tomonobu Itagaki leaving Tecmo and Metal Gear Solid 4.

149 - 06/01/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - XBLA Changes, Konami vs. Reviewers
posted on June 2, 2008 at 05:15 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

* We start off by playing a short audio clip of Activision CEO Bobby Kotick at the All Things Digital 6 conference. * Penny Arcade Adventures set a debut sales record on Xbox Live Arcade. * In the meantime, many games are up for being delisted from XBLA. Will you still be able to download them? And what meets some of the criteria? * Sony has implemented the YouTube API into their PS3 SDK - is this as big of a deal as some think it is? * Konami has asked reviewers not to discuss technical details of Metal Gear Solid 4, such as cutscene length and install size. * Then we take calls about ways to get around installing games to the hard drive, and to the lack of real journalism in gaming.

148 - 05/25/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - LostWinds, Defend your Castle, Guitar Hero, Rock Revolution
posted on May 27, 2008 at 06:00 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

* WiiWare has launched since our last show, so we give our early impressions of two games gifted by listeners - LostWinds and Defend Your Castle. * Then we discuss the two new games in the rhythm-action genre, Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Revolution, focusing primarily on the drum kit for both. * Then, during the interactive segment, we discuss Penny Arcade Adventures and Lego Indiana Jones, and take a call about Xbox 360 GPU's failing.

147 - 05/11/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - EA DRM, Nintendo Channel
posted on May 20, 2008 at 12:20 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

This is the episode from the May 11th show. There was no show for the week of May 18th. There will be a show on May 25th. * Allgames.com was hacked, and that contributed to a lot of lateness of shows recently. * Nintendo released the Nintendo Channel, but they need better gamers playing the video captures. * We've started to play Persona 3: FES and are wondering why people aren't getting all up-in-arms over the main gameplay element. * Electronic Arts announced that they would use SecuROM DRM in Mass Effect and Spore for the PC, only to relent later in the week. * Then we discuss GTA4 and the new Gears of War 2 footage.

146 - 05/04/08 Bobby Blackwolf Show - GTA4, Blu-Ray 360
posted on May 8, 2008 at 02:00 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

A word of note: Monday afternoon Allgames.com was hacked and taken offline due to spreading a virus. We have spent the better half of the week repairing the damage, but all feeds hosted on Allgames.com, including this one, were down. We apologize for the inconvenience. In this episode: We continue talking a little bit about Mario Kart Wii, but then jump right into Grand Theft Auto IV. We talk about the game itself and then the controversy around the game from political groups using the game to get into the spotlight. One such group is Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) who wants the game rerated because it's possible to attempt to drive drunk in the game (but extremely difficult to do.) We read a report that a Chinese company has been tapped to create an internal Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360, and some doubt it's source. We then play our entries in the Limited Edition GTA4 Xbox 360 Elite contest - be sure to visit our forums to vote! Then we take calls about GTA4, the new 360, and Kropotkin from Superhappyfuntimeshow tells us about Wii Fit, which was just released from Europe...And an old friend (?!) reappears.
