102 - 07/01/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Black Pack Refund, WiiWare
posted on July 5, 2007 at 02:45 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

Another board game hit Xbox Live Arcade - Carcassone - and we love it. But also, the Black Pack for Rainbow Six: Vegas came out and people were charged for it when it was supposed to be free. They're getting a refund - but guess how long it will take? Will this open the doors for other refunds to be demanded by teh intarwebs? Xbox 360's are dying all over the place - is it as bad as the PS2 in it's early days yet? The majority of US consumers don't realize their game consoles can play DVD's according to a very expensive study. Nintendo announces original downloadable content coming in 2008 for the Wii. Then we take calls about DS durability, more Xbox Live Marketplace mishaps with dead consoles, and the difference between 30 and 60 frames per second and how it relates to the upcoming football titles for the 360 and PS3.

101 - 06/24/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Manhunt 2, Spore Forever
posted on June 29, 2007 at 01:20 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

I humbly apologize for the delay in editing this show and putting it up - there were weather issues in the area that caused other electrical disturbances that needed to be remedied. Manhunt 2 has been in the news a LOT recently - it was banned in the UK, a watchdog group demanded the Wii version be rated AO, but it came out the ESRB already rated all versions AO, then Nintendo and Sony said they wouldn't allow it on their consoles, so Rockstar put it on hold. Are they being unfairly singled out, or has the ratings board seen something gamers haven't? Duke Nukem visited Will Wright to delay Spore...Or did he? BioWare is getting into the handheld space with a DS RPG based on...Sonic the Hedgehog? Ken Kutaragi finally steps down from Sony Computer Entertainment. And the PS3 announces they'll have 380 games coming out in the next 9 months - but not all for you. Then we attempt to take some calls, however there were technical difficulties so it was mostly reacting to chat comments about Forza 2, including driving and etiquitte tips. Although we do get a peek at an artists' rendition of the drum peripheral for Rock Band. We do finally get a caller to discuss Blockbuster Video's policy on age verification and the American Medical Association's look into classifying video game addiction as an actual disorder.

100 - 06/17/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - 100th Episode Naval Gazing, Church of England v. Sony
posted on June 18, 2007 at 04:05 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

After 100 weeks straight on the air, we decided we were allowed to talk a little bit about ourselves. We give a retrospective behind the inner-workings of the show and play all of the great audio messages we received from friends of the show. GAMING CONTENT BEGINS AT 18 MINUTES IN. We learn more details about Beautiful Katamari, but you won't believe where it's going to be sold. The Church of England is going after Sony for depicting Manchester Cathedral in Resistance: Fall of Man. We read the submissions to our game music contest (complete with game music!) and pick a winner of the Best of the Best: Tribute to Game Music CD out of a hat. Then we take more ego-boosting calls but still can talk about The Agency and Soul Calibur. Check out Bobby Blackwolf cohosting the news segment of Evil Avatar Radio on Episode 61! Thanks, everyone, for your support.

099 - 06/10/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Best of the Best: A Tribute to Game Music, Pac-Man C.E.
posted on June 11, 2007 at 01:20 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

It's the show that's called "Not Quite Episode 100!" We continue our lovefest for Forza 2 with new pics and new specs for fair cars to use in community races. There was a "major announcement" revealed at the Pac-Man World Championships and The Internets were stunned that it was related to Pac-Man - we talk about Pac-Man Championship Edition and what we like and don't like about it. Sony's sold lots of PS3's in Europe - over a million, in fact - but there still aren't many games to play on the system, only games to look forward to. We then take a look at the new CD "Best of the Best: A Tribute to Game Music" from GameMusicCentral.com, where we give our honest thoughts but also let YOU here a medley of the entire CD to make your own mind. There is ALSO a contest where YOU CAN WIN THE CD - but you HAVE TO LISTEN to find out how to enter! Then we take calls on game music, Forza 2, Pac-Man Championship Edition, and...more Forza 2 and Pac-Man. 99 down, hopefully many more to go...

098 - 06/03/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Wii VC Adds 100th Title, Forza 2 Adds Lots Of Fun
posted on June 4, 2007 at 05:30 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

Forza 2 came, saw, and kicked ass, with it's custom paintjobs - Respect the BANHAMMER! However, is the photo sharing too clunky and do in-game advertisers understand who they're advertising to? We get a different opinion about Super Mario Strikers for the Wii, contrary to our look last week. Nintendo's putting up their 100th game on the Virtual Console this week. There's also an unused chip in the Wii Remote - what will this mean for consumers down the line? Xbox Live Arcade's Mad Tracks had a nasty bug, but it's being patched. GameTap has announced the 24-episode action-adventure title American McGee's Grimm is coming in 2008. There are new Guitar Hero III videos out, and some of our fears are calmed, but new ones have opened. Then we have a discussion about the price of hardware, we take calls on the PSP Camera and user-sharable content, and talk about other random stuff the chat room comes up with.
