123 - 11/25/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Rock Band, Mass Effect
posted on December 2, 2007 at 02:20 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

This was recorded seven days ago - unfortunately due to health issues and technical issues (both pretty much resolved) this was delayed much longer than expected. This will not be a habit. Expect the December 2nd show to be released on Wednesday to get things back on track. * In this show, we give our impressions on Rock Band - what works, and what doesn't. We also give advice on calibrating the lag to get you more lenient timing windows. * The Romantics are suing Activision for their cover in Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80's. Do they have a case? * We also talk a little bit about Mass Effect. * Jeff Minter, designer of Tempest and Space Giraffe, almost gave up on gamers until the booze wore off. * We take calls about Xbox Live Arcade in general and more on the Wii shortages. We have been nominated as Podcast of the Year in the 2007 Xbox Community Awards, and voting is going on RIGHT NOW at Gamertagradio.com (not starting on the 8th as the audio states.)

122 - 11/18/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - AGR Gamerpics, What Is a Spoiler?
posted on November 23, 2007 at 03:45 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

* Hey, did you check out those All Games Radio gamerpics up on the Xbox Live Marketplace? They're free! * Last week, Microsoft announced Carcassone for free (for 48 hours) as well as Xbox Originals. * They also announced that Live members since 2002 will get 500 free MS Points - but you have to sign up for them. * The NPD Group has relented and will still give out hardware and software sales numbers. * And our big question of the day deals with what is a spoiler - mostly pertaining to Assassin's Creed. (And no, there are NO spoilers for Assassin's Creed given during the show at all. Super Mario Bros spoilers are another story though!) * We also talk a little bit about Smackdown vs. Raw, EA Chicago, Pinball FX's new free table, and the easiest 1000 achievement points ever.

121 - 11/11/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Xbox Live is 5ive, Sam and Max Episode 201:Ice Station Santa
posted on November 14, 2007 at 06:45 PM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

Xbox Live is 5ive, and Microsoft is celebrating. We look back at Xbox Live and why it's lasted when other console online gaming initiatives before it failed. We also show that online gaming isn't all that new, just never mainstream. The PS3's 2.0 firmware is out, and while not the megaton that the PS3 fanboys promised on Sony's behalf, it still has a few nice features that are a welcome sight to see. We take a look at Sam & Max Episode 201: Ice Station Santa - the beginning of the next season of the episodic point and click adventure game. We also talk a little bit about Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure for the Wii, although we've only had a little bit of playtime with it. The NPD Group decided to cut back on releasing hardware and software sales numbers, and they didn't expect the fan reaction. We recount our trip to the Jonathan Coulton concert in Atlanta, where some idiot demanded to hear the song from Portal the minute he walked on stage. Then we take a call about Namco Bandai purchasing Banpresto, and about the breaking of street dates.

120 - 11/04/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Manhunt 2, Jeremy Zoss from Destineer Studios
posted on November 9, 2007 at 12:55 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

Tonight, we have our final interview from PAX'07 - Jeremy Zoss from Destineer Studios to discuss Indianapolis 500 Racing, Word Jong, John Deere: Harvest in the Heartland, Homie Rollerz, and games based on Full Metal Alchemist. We issue a correction on our Halo 3 statements from last week, just to make sure that you knew we were wrong. Rock Band demo units are currently in Best Buy - except ours, due to a new Elite doing old 360 tricks. We dip deep into the Manhunt 2 hacking debacle, and give our reasons why the ESRB made the right call in this one. Then we take calls on minor cursing in an E10 rated game, the November game rush, and some upcoming Wii titles we hadn't heard of.

119 - 10/28/07 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Beautiful Katamari and GH3, Ryan Craven on Betson
posted on October 31, 2007 at 02:10 AM in The Bobby Blackwolf Show

Tonight we have an interview with Ryan Cravens from Betson Enterprises to discuss the arcade industry and the arcade games Big Buck Hunter Pro and Fast And The Furious: Drift. Happy Birthday to the PlayStation 2 in the US, which turned 7 on October 26th. Beautiful Katamari was released last week, and we're not exactly feeling it or it's Xbox Live play this time around. Guitar Hero III was released this past Sunday, and there are some issues with the controller and some framerate dips there as well - but join the All Games Radio Tour Group anyway! We also discuss which guitar controllers work with what games. Valve has cut off gamers who found a great deal on The Orange Box ordering via Thailand. Then we take a call about E For All's "success" and any chance it has next year since they decided to have their show on the same weekend as PAX.
