Kingdom Hearts II is a real page-turner, and is worth it if you want a good story. Gamers are going to Boot Camp to play Windows on Apple hardware, and Scot Rubin from All Games Interactive asks the question of if it's worth it. Lionhead is bought by Microsoft, who is fighting Lucent over patent squabbles. The Xbox 360 is relaunching in Japan with some old and new favorites on board. Twoksportsfan from Mexico calls in to talk about MLB and FIFA, and gaming in general in Mexico. The price for the PS3 was revealed on a French radio show...Or was it? Is EA really kicking people off their servers for unsubscribing to a mailing list? Finally, Darwinia gets the shelf space it deserves.

A lot of games have come out in the last two weeks that we have been playing - Tetris DS, Oblivion, Kingdom Hearts II, and Beatmania. We discuss our first impressions. We received an email from a college student about why the media does in fact belong at GDC. Starcraft Forever is with Duke Nukem Ghost, but unfortunately the Xbox 360 will relaunch in Japan in June to try to make up for lost sales. Final Fantasy XIII is rumored to be announced at E3 - before FF12 hits the states! Halo 3 is rumored to be announced at E3 with a launch date of NOT THE HOLIDAYS. Iwata talks Revolution with CNN, and claims that you may only be allowed to play some games for a certain time period. A couple of things have gone byebye - PSOne's, UMD's, and Wolfpack Studios, makers of Shadowbane. Not going byebye is SOE's Star Wars license. Blizzard is being sued by a gamer who wants to charge people to learn how to powerlevel and goldfarm. And there's a Beowulf game coming out...? Emails bring up the old demo scene again, an independant stick figure game with a slippery physics engine, and raises the question of if there was any real controversy around 2K Sports' MLB 2K6. Check out my interview on the Video Games Show!

We're back from the Game Developers Conference and immediately discuss the rant Kropotkin made on his UK News podcast about how media members like us should go nowhere near GDC. We then talk about the Sony and Nintendo keynotes and what they showed (or didn't) show. We also discuss our early impressions of Brain Age. We follow up on the Independant Games Festival, interviewing some of the developers, with a special appearence by Lawrence Young of All Games Interactive. We then solicit a caller to talk about Oblivion (since it came out when GDC started and we haven't played it yet) and while waiting for nobody to call in, we talked about the talks by Will Wright (Spore) and Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica). We also briefly touch on the Novint Falcon and the MERL DiamondTouch Table. We then turned to Video Games Live, which we attended on Friday night. We had some beefs, and we took them backstage to corner Tommy, which backfired. However, we did get reactions of the show from many people in the industry, including: Laurie Robinson, Martin Leung, Keith Robinson, Cliff Blezinski, David Perry, Alexander Brandon, Jason Hayes, Laura Karpman, Inon Zur, Richard Jaques, Cris Velasco, Jason Enos, Will Littlejohn, Tim Larkin, Chance Thomas, Gerard Marino, Marty O'Donnell, Jack Wall, and Tommy Tallarico.

The 2006 Independant Games Festival is this week at GDC, and Bobby played the downloadable demos of 18 out of the 19 finalists in a 48 hour period and tells you about each one. Then, we recap some of the bigger news this week involving Revolution announcements, the recent successful hacking (although not released to the public) hacking of the Xbox 360's Hitachi DVD-ROM drive, the disbandenment of the team that made the Greatest Game Ever Created, the PS2 losing to Immersion over Force Feedback technology, and the PS3 being delayed for reals. All Games Radio is broadcasting the 4th Annual Game Audio Network Guild Awards LIVE on Thursday, March 23, at 11PM Eastern/8PM Pacific from San Jose, California!

We had some of AGI's Mad Bugginess with an audio cable, so there's a slight buzz underneath the whole show - that WILL be fixed before the next episode! Burnout Revenge feels like a game you might have played before...Find out why your friends DON'T have to spam you for 10 measly gamerpoints! An independant game sells well despite the fact there is no DRM copy protection - which upsets a Russian DRM copy protection maker to the point of promoting piracy. Speaking of that company, want to know why your CD drive doesn't work after installing a game with Starforce copy protection? Find out the troubles a caller went through to play his legally bought game! Captain N is FINALLY getting a DVD release. Rockstar San Diego creates a game just to put Forrest Gump in, Table Tennis. Someone paid $2500 for a Sonic X-Treme prototype for the Sega Saturn. What would YOU get with that kind of money? There's a million unique visitors to the Nintendo Wifi Connection, and they all want to ask Miyamoto-san a question during his 30 minute webchat. We update you on the NFL-NFLPA dealings, read some emails, and welcome the Video Games Show to the All Games Radio family!
