This recording begins with an explanation for the recent lack of updates to the RSS Feed. We just got back from E3 2009 and we discuss our favorite games of show: The Beatles: Rock Band, Brutal Legend, Split Second, and Scribblenauts. Find out which one got Game Of Show from us! Also check out E3Coverage.com for videos from the show floor. We discuss the changes with the Xbox Live dashboard and what they will and won't do. We sat in on a Roundtable Q&A session with Shigeru Miyamoto and talk about some of the highlights from that. Then we take calls about the Brutal Legend lawsuit brought on during E3, Project Natal and other motion controllers, and other E3 madness.
Next week is our 200th episode - you can leave us a message for a listener montage or give a gift to the show in a different way. And remember, Bobby is doing on-camera interviews for Gametactics' E3Coverage.com. E3 starts the day after we record, and we talk about Microsoft moving their press conference up 5 minutes due to a "surprise". We give our review of Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP. This year, Sony was the victim of pre-E3 leaks with the PSP Go being announced early. Microsoft is adding the US to the Canadian beta of 1 vs. 100 on Xbox Live. Electronic Gaming Monthly shall return - Ziff Davis sold the rights back to the original owner. Our music break is "Gamers Love" from independent Canadian R&B artist Jamila B. Then we take calls about PSP Go, PS3 Slim, Six Days in Fallujah, and E3.
We will endeavor to not talk about E3 predictions this week, but we still want you to go to E3Coverage.com to see on-camera interviews and demos from the E3 show floor. We give our opinions on Punch-Out!! for the Wii, and yes, we are being button bitches. Can gaming companies and fanfiction creators coexist? Apparently not so, as the team behind Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes received a cease & desist order from Square Enix after 4 years of development and several weeks before release. Then we take calls about Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts, sequels not having the same features as their predecessors, and arcade cabinets.
OUR RSS FEED ISSUES HAVE BEEN FIXED AND NOW WE ARE PUTTING OUR MISSED EPISODES BACK ON THE FEED. We got our E3 pass, and we will be working with Gametactics' E3Coverage.com site. We talk a little bit about Zen Pinball on the PS3. Then, E3 speculations reigns free, including motion controllers for Microsoft and Sony. Then we take calls about Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Punch-Out!!, PS2 region coding, Team Fortress 2 machinima, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
OUR RSS FEED ISSUES HAVE BEEN FIXED AND NOW WE ARE PUTTING OUR MISSED EPISODES BACK ON THE FEED. DNF stands for Did Not Finish, and that's exactly what happened to Duke Nukem Forever this week, as 3D Realms unexpectedly shut their doors. Who ya gonna call if you live in Europe? If you wanna call the Ghostbusters, you better have a PS3. In our music break, we play an exclusive high quality recording of the Kansas University Winter Drumline playing Mega Man music. Check out the interview on Friday Night Gaming! Then we take calls about the PlayStation Network, Bionic Commando demo revelations, and the 1 vs. 100 Canadian beta,
