Metal Gear Solid 4 finally hit, and, as expected, it's not as good as everyone thinks. Strangely, though, we're unable to stop talking about it. It's as if we're IMMERSED in a world with nothing but Metal Gear and that sexy Snake character. Fancy that.
Forbes writers are apparently idiots... although Alon loves his iPhone, there's no chance it could destroy the Nintendo DS' success. Ara tells us why he doesn't like Peter Molyneux, and Alon questions how expectations/hype help and hinder our impressions of the games we play. Finally, we somehow manage to reminisce about the brilliance that is Steel Battalion.
Tomonobu Itagaki has a beautiful and giant set of balls... Marvel at them. Ara loves GRID almost as much as Alon loves Boom Blox. The new Bionic Commando game is a third person shooter, but we can't understand why.
We return to the topic of social gaming and if it's a driver for game playing. Joining us this episode is Barry Dorf, Co-Founder of GameStrata.com, a social networking site focused on community gaming and stats tracking. Ara also whines a bit because Mr. Driller Online apparently looks like crap.
Boom Blox isn't what was expected but still quite good. Burn the Rope is a simple game with a complex secret. Do you think training missions are good or bad? Ara doesn't like them, that's for sure. He also dislikes the recent NiGHTS game... a lot.
