We're caught a little off guard by the announcements of Lego Rock Band and the upcoming King of Fighters shoot-em-up game. So baffled are we that the rest of the show is spent talking about the benefits of piracy, freedom from digital rights management, and intellectual property theft.
It's a mad, mad world when crappy games like Mad World can get so much attention. Also mad is EA's PR contraband and PETA's failed attempt to convert WoW players to veganism. Not so mad is the Flashbang Studios' sweet pad that Ara and Alon got to visit last week.
Alon manages to enjoy Close Range far more than any person should but manages to redeem himself by describing the several truly wonderful games from the Experimental Games Workshop at the Game Developers Conference. Alon, however, has decided to partner up with EEDAR to create Crazy Al's Discount Analyst Services... Act now and he'll throw in a box of frozen steaks.
Kotaku seems to think it has business analysts on staff. It doesn't. Jack Thompson makes us realize that it will be decades before games aren't seen as just childrens' toys. Thanks to the Mid-Missouri Internet Crimes Task Force, Alon now knows that he lives with a sexual predator.
