Is it okay to take advantage of a bug in a game? Forza 3 players are faced with this question right now. In other news, Alon bought a Killer Instinct machine, Ara can't stand the Critter Crunch character, and no one really understands Bayonetta.
Alon continues to love New Super Mario Bros. Wii and goes on about the well-developed multiplayer components; Ara continues to hate Project: Natal and goes on about how Mark Whitten, General Manager for XBOX Live, is a bit of a tart; and both go on about some less meaningful topics like the lawsuit of the day and the objectification of the male and female form in gaming.
Always one to educate, Ara explains in deep detail why your television sucks. After playing Drag Me Home on the iPhone, he revisits the definition of a casual game and suggests it's actually the player who's casual, not the game. Finally, he and Rich debate whether or not Microsoft has a responsibility to those whose XBOX 360 consoles it has banned from XBOX Live.
Everyone's been talking about Modern Warfare 2, and wouldn't you know it... killing swarms of civilians is just too much fun. As a result, though, we revisit the question of how interactivity is affected by narrative.
While we're busy forgetting to mention that there's no show next week, we do remember to complain about reviewers who don't complain about Demon's Souls - apparently Ara is a big fan of consistency. And words. He pushes Rich and Josh to express themselves in an effort to explain what makes Borderlands so "good". It's not so easy.
