Orange Lounge Radio is a non-stop 24hr/7day internet radio station dedicated to Video Games, that features weekly live programs dedicated to video gaming and gaming culture. The "flagship" program ofthe station is Orange Lounge Radio LIVE, which is replayed here on All Games Radio every Monday night at 7PM PST.
Orange Lounge Radio got it's start in May of 2002 as an internet radio station originally started to pay tribute to music-based video games such as Dance Dance Revolution, Parappa the Rappa, and Bust a Move. Three avid gamers with varying experience in Radio & Internet Radio sat down to chat about the DDR community. The "feel" of the show was similar to that of a gathering of friends at a diner after a long night of gaming. As the listeners increased, and the arcade community began to cool, Orange Lounge Radio began to slowly expand into areas of other videogames.
Orange Lounge Radio first launched a weekly podcast show in Early January of 2005, making it one of the first video game podcasts available on the internet. The incredible fan community behind Orange Lounge Radio helped it to win the 2005 Podcast Award for best gaming podcast. The podcast has also enjoyed brief media attention locally, and brief features on the iTunes music store and Yahoo! Podcasts.
Rob RobertsAlso known as "skie", Rob brings nine years of amateur & college radio experience to the program. Rob is a former co-host of "Under Sedation Live", a former top Reality program on Live 365 in the early 00's. Rob also had a show in the late 90s on college radio station KCSC in Chico, California. Rob has been an avid gamer since the age of 5, when he was playing Adventure on the Atari 2600.
Jamie SummersAlso known as "Dark Sakura", Jamie brings previous internet radio experience from "Under Sedation Live" to the program. She also has ties to many fandom communities, including being a long-time Anime fan, Gorillaz fan, Namco fangirl (having once worked for them) and fan of fire! This Alabama born "Queen of the Show" tells it like it is and doesn't take crap from anyone.
LOKIThe one and only "LOKI", who scours the internet up and down for the latest in the underground gaming scene. LOKI has built his own arcade cabinet, and taken apart many a tech gadget. By day, LOKI works for a major game distributor, and thusly acquires lots of insider knowledge when it comes to release dates. The man who sometimes goes by "Matt" brings blunt commentary and unusual insight that always makes for a very interesting show.
