After an unexpected break in the live shows thanks to H1N1 (yes, really), OLR returns with this live show from November 15th, 2009. We take some time to reflect on what it was like to have the pig flu, and then get to the games! In Part A tonight , we talk about broken street dates by Gamestop on some recent big releases. Is this a practice that we will see more of in the future? Our hosts have some strong opinions as do the live chatters. FINALLY, Final Fantasy 13 has a release date, and Modern Warfare 2 sets some big records to no ones surprise. In a nearly three and a half hour show, we move on in Part B to talk about 1 vs 100 season 2, as well as an interesting new iPhone game that lets you make FIRE! Moonwalker is headed to the virtual console, but is it time for a new kind of Michael Jackson video game? We brainstorm with our listeners on this and more topics. All this and your e-mails, chatroom antics, twitter topics and so much more on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice: Orange Lounge Radio!
Just after our discussions on the last show, it is announced that Netflix is coming to the PS3 after all! How will this change up the console debate? Also, just how much money has the playstation 3 lost Sony... but does it really matter? Chatter is rampant about the effects of piracy on the iPhone, and is it true that there could be another Rock Band spinoff game in 2010? In Part B, we mourn the N-Gage, which we honestly thought was already dead-- oops! We move on to talking about Excitebike World Rally, 3d dot game heroes and... yes... a game that will reward you with STEAK. Interesting. All this and MORE including your chatroom antics, emails, twitter topics and MORE on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice, Orange Lounge Radio!
This was our first show back after President Cat made waves on various gaming blogs throughout the community. What did the hosts think about the whole situation? We make some comments on it all. The gaming news keeps on coming as we talk about the release of Cho Aniki Zero on the PSP, as well as rumors being squashed hopefully one final time about Blu-Ray on the 360. Is it okay that iPhone games sell extra lives in game? We take the opinions of our hosts and listeners! In Part B, we interview our friend John "Seg" Seggerson about UMLOUD, an upcoming charity event in San Francisco. More gaming news brings us info on an HD remake of Toki, and an awesome use for the Microsoft Surface. All this and MORE on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice, Orange Lounge Radio!
President Cat thinks you should listen to this weeks episode of OLR. Yes, during the reading of Japanese release dates, the strange phenomenon known as "President Cat" begins. There is plenty of other gaming news though, including a lawsuit against sellers of the R4 device, and a new pokemon game from Nintendo. Motion Control for the PS3 might be out sooner than you think, but not in the exact way you were thinking. Also, a racing classic revival gives former arcade employees nightmares. Prepare for the return of DO DO DO DO DOOO DOOOOO In part B tonight, we get majorly distracted by our twitter, but we still manage to cram in plenty of discussion on a Wii Exercise bike, XBOX 360 locking out unauthorized memory units and some details on the "Demo Play" mode in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. All this and MORE including your chatroom antics, phone calls, e-mails, tweets (and plenty of them) on what is one of our craziest shows of the year. Its the show where EVERY gamer has a voice, Orange Lounge Radio! Meow!
DJ Hero is in the house tonight, and DJ Loki takes us thru a spin of the demo unit. You will never guess where he got it from. Also we touch on the gaming news, such as more information on the Epic Mickey game that is Wii bound. Could XBOX 360 Avatars soon play games at a retrocade? Could the Wii balance board soon be used in Airport security? We tackle the questions that this weeks gaming news makes. In Part B tonight, there are some new developments with Facebook and Twitter support on the 360. Now we have an idea of when to expect them. Also that was expected was an inevitable port of Rock Band to the iPhone, and the details are discussed on our show. All this and MORE including your e-mails, chatroom antics, phone calls, twitter topics and so much more on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice- Orange Lounge Radio!
